There’s good reason to believe Swift draws inspiration from astrology. The cosmos have a robust presence in her songwriting. The Archer? Nod to her sun sign, Sagittarius. In Suburban Legends, she sings about “mismatched star signs.” State of Grace references “twin fire signs;” in Seven, she says “love you to the moon and Saturn.”

As ascertained from the Karma video, Taylor Swift is a 29° Libra rising. In classic astrology, that makes Venus her chart ruler, giving the planet heightened importance in the events of Swift’s life.

Venus shows up throughout Taylor Swift’s creative life and work, visually, artistically, live in concert, and perhaps most compellingly, as the timekeeper of her life and career.
