That’s a great point about how suddenly it IS all men when it’s a male coworker for lunch/friend, I.e., they have personal “stake” in the risk, which is kinda ego based (I.e., I might be cheated on vs she might get hurt).
Although the daughter thing, I think genuinely softens men up to women’s issues in a more sincere, “I care about women’s safety/treatment” way
Lately my counterpoint has been “yeah, but it’s
*enough* men to be a problem. #notalldrives end up in a car crash, but we still buckle our seatbelt everytime. It’s called risk management
